School Health Team

UNIVERSAL SCHOOL NURSING SERVICES

Every year in England, children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight measured as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). Your child’s class will take part in this year’s measurement programme. Please see our NCMP letters for further information.

In Slough we also carry out routine hearing and vision screening test for all children in Reception. These screening tests are carried out in a child friendly way with the aim of identifying needs early. For more information please see our School Entry Screening Letters under the NCMP letters section.

To support the delivery of community and individual health care, the school nursing team offer all children in Year 6,9 and 11 health survey questionnaires. For children in Reception, these questionnaires are offered to parents. To view the questionnaires for your child’s age group please click here.
